This is maybe my proudest moment as an artist.

Prior to the 2020 presidential election, LinkNYC and NYC Votes partnered under a single mission—galvanize artists to create New York City inspired art that empowers citizens to vote. As a lifelong Mets fan, I submitted a Citi Field inspired piece with the bold message, “New York, GO VOTE.” Incorporating the recognizable Shea Stadium Home Run Apple, I combined lettering and illustration to pay homage to my favorite team and showcase my hometown pride.

LinkNYC and NYC Votes selected 40 artist submissions to rotate on kiosks along the streets of New York in the weeks leading up to the election. Seeing my artwork across the city was an experience I’ll never forget. Even more, I like to think I made a (small) difference in encouraging New Yorkers to show up to the polls and make their voices heard.
